Course Description:
Students in English III analyze American Literature as it reflects social perspectives and history by continuing to use language for expressive , argumentative, and literary purpose. English III is argumentation by developing a position
of advocacy through reading, writing, speaking, and using the media (CNN Student News).
In addition, students will:
· Relate the experience of others to their own
· Research the diversity of the American experience
· Examine relationships between past and present
· Use arguments effectively
· Create projects and presentations which will be demonstrated to their fellow classmates
· Students write effectively and confidently, read critically, think analytically, annotate written passages
